Where it started
Litchi Foods started in 2004 in foodservice, supplying products to the restaurants of hotel chains in well-known tourist destinations. One of our founders had helped build up IKEA’s food shops, and that experience of Nordic food retail is still part of our foundation. Since then we have grown into an exporter supplying importers, wholesalers and retail chains.

Litchi Foods AB is owned by 14 Swedish companies and private investors with experience in food and tourism.
- 2004Founded – supplying products to hotel chains’ restaurants in well-known tourist destinations.
- 2008Focus shifts to supplying local wholesalers – larger volumes per delivery and wider distribution.
- 2014Ten-year anniversary – the company changes its name from Litchi FoodService AB to Litchi Foods AB.
- 2018First subsidiary abroad, in Greece – then our largest market.
- Today100+ suppliers and hundreds of brands, exporting to Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia.
